Jarkko is a developer with a strong passion for continuously learning new things and mastering technologies in depth. He strives to build software so precisely and reliably that it works exactly as end users expect — and recovers gracefully from exceptional situations. Jarkko is inspired by creating software that will be used for decades.

We warmly welcome our newest member to the Wirokit IT consultant band, Jarkko Rajamäki. He describes joining Wirokit as coming home — with a like-minded crew and a shared spirit of craftsmanship. With extensive experience in safety-critical software, most recently in the functional safety of mobile machinery, Jarkko follows a guiding principle: when you build something, build it right and build it to last.
Jarkko is known for precise, tested, and trustworthy code — the kind you can build on. He masters embedded systems and multiple technologies deeply, and he is energized by continuous learning, both at work and during his free time. While playing in a band is still new territory, he’s practicing the electric guitar with determination, aiming to jam with the team in no time. We’re thrilled to have Jarkko in the band!
A familiar face from the early 2000s is stepping back onto Wirokit’s stage. Jarkko is used to working on systems where reliability truly matters. Most recently, he has focused on functional safety for mobile machinery, participating in the design, implementation, and testing of safety functions. In product development, he has also contributed to the firmware of an FS control unit.
Jarkko is delighted to return to the Wirokit crew. A shared sense of humor is an essential part of the work community, and he knows he will find like-minded people here.
Jarkko wants to make things as robust as possible the first time around. He finds the most meaning in developing long-lasting software solutions. When features are carefully designed from an end-user perspective and behave as expected, users experience the software as truly reliable.
For Jarkko, reliability is everything — it always comes first. His principle is simple: when you build something, build it so well that you never need to revisit it.
Jarkko is known for dependable code. Precise, well-tested code is his signature, and that’s exactly what he wants to be recognized for. Quality code operates as expected and handles failure scenarios in a controlled manner. It’s rewarding to know your work is significant when it’s used widely, even internationally.
Continuous learning is essential for a developer. Jarkko is currently particularly interested in web services, microservice architectures, and container technologies. Developing in virtualized environments has become agile and efficient.
Programming is a true passion for Jarkko, and learning is a constant process. Even in his free time, he reads technical books and studies new technologies — at the moment, Rust books are stacked on his desk.
He learns best by talking with people who have deep, long-term experience with a specific technology. Discussions with teammates are both instructive and inspiring.
Although he has never really played an instrument before, he recently bought an electric guitar and is now learning to play. He has even taken music theory classes at a community college — going from zero to one hundred with the goal of eventually keeping rhythm with the rest of the band.
A new expert is stepping onto Wirokit’s stage — someone with deep experience in building reliable software. Jarkko is a developer driven by curiosity, precision, and lifelong learning. Welcome to the band, Jarkko Rajamäki — grab the electric guitar and let’s build long-lasting, dependable software together.
