Originally from Seinäjoki, experienced IT engineer Kai Suuronen returns to the Wirokit consulting band after nearly two decades away. The multi-talented specialist and former telecommunications lecturer brings vast technical experience in Linux systems, telecommunication networks, and server environment management. Passionate about continuous learning, Kai has chosen the latest in AI-assisted development and the integration of AI agents into daily processes as his "solo." Having worked in challenging environments, Kai brings to the team not only solid technical intuition but also strong social intelligence and a straightforward, positive attitude.
Most recently, he worked as a systems specialist and telecommunications technology lecturer. Now, returning to the old crew feels excellent. While colleagues and technologies may have changed along the way, the attitude and tight-knit drive remain the same.
Kai studied telecommunications and software development, and his technical knowledge is vast. His desk boasts expertise ranging from Linux-based solutions and telecommunication network solutions to server environment management.
Over the past couple of decades, the software industry has undergone a massive transformation.
"When you look at where we are with software development today, the change has been enormous, both in speed and volume. The IT environment has revolutionized: mobility has taken giant leaps forward, and cloud services have become a standard part of the IT architecture. Where communication once took days or weeks, we are now talking about seconds."
Kai is always excited to understand where the industry is heading. He has been involved in utilizing AI since its early stages. Today, in modern development work, he is particularly fascinated by integrating various AI agents into everyday processes.
Grasping large architectures is one of Kai’s core strengths, and he is happy to share what he learns with others. "Continuous learning and understanding large, complex systems is my personal solo, where I can also help others. I’m happy to share my learnings and new insights with the entire team," Kai says.
Years as a systems specialist and technology lecturer have taught Kai much more than just spinning bits. He has learned to act with a cool head in large, challenging environments where things do not always go exactly according to plan.
Various roles have also built strong social intuition. People are notoriously diverse, and Kai's ability to read people helps him build great team spirit when a project faces hurdles.
Wirokit offers excellent working conditions, making coming to the office a daily pleasure for Kai. At the office, information flows rapidly, and technical matters are resolved in a straightforward manner when experts sit in the same space.
In his free time, Kai is a competitive guy who gladly joins in Wirokit's shared off-work activities. A long-time golf hobby has taught him extreme focus and planning—skills that are also highly valuable in coding. Gym sessions and swimming provide a perfect counterweight to work.
In Wirokit’s consulting band, Kai knows what already goes smoothly and where he is still finding the beat: "I don't really have the sense of rhythm needed for playing drums, so a triangle might be a good way to practice the beat for starters. But when it comes to the rhythm of code, AI, and telecommunications networks, I promise to keep that perfectly in sync!"
