Wirokit’s very own Critical Safety Software Expert, Kari Erasvuo, is heading to Paris this July as part of the Team Rynkeby charity cycling team. In their daily work, Wirokit’s experts ensure the security of mission-critical software—a task that demands endurance, precision, and, above all, a deep sense of commitment.
This same attitude unites our entire community. When Kari gathered a crew from the office to support his massive summer cycling challenge, we didn’t hesitate for a second—we went all in. It all started 25 years ago in Denmark when an employee at the Rynkeby juice factory decided that "someone should do something." He gathered a group of ten, hopped on his bike, and pedaled all the way to Paris to raise money for charity.
Today, that spark has grown into a massive movement: this July, over 3,000 cyclists from across Northern Europe will hit the road. Finland alone is sending nine teams and 280 riders.
Yet, the goal remains as clear as ever: raising funds for research and treatment of childhood cancer.
"It’s all about charity. We are raising funds for research so that children facing serious illness can have a brighter future," Kari says, capturing the heart of the mission.

At Wirokit, the annual Kilometrikisa (Kilometer Challenge) is a long-standing tradition embraced by our IT band. Kari has been hitting the road weekly with Team Rynkeby Tampere’s joint practice sessions. By the time the grand start rolls around in July, Kari will have already clocked 2,500 kilometers of training.
The real challenge kicks off on July 2nd from Tampere. The route goes through Helsinki and Travemünde, heading deep into the heart of Europe. Ahead lie eight days of intense pedaling until the team finally rolls into Paris on Saturday, July 11th. It’s a journey that requires a hardcore attitude—the famous We Rock IT spirit.
At Wirokit, doing things together is what we do best. Kari is our representative on the road, and the whole office will be cheering him on every kilometer of the way. If you spot a yellow cycling train on the highway, give them a wave—there’s a good chance you’ll see Kari leading the charge!
"We are part of a joint support crew with the Järvisuomi team, which includes cyclists from Tampere, Kuopio, Mikkeli, and Jyväskylä," Kari explains.
This trip is one for the history books. When Kari returns from Paris, his team jersey will take a place of honor on the Wirokit office wall. It’s more than just an athletic feat; it’s a symbol that when we decide to do something big and meaningful, we truly deliver — And Roll IT!
